RAW & UNIQ: Crabtree Farms Spring Plant Sale & Festival
Two days. One festival. A lot of concrete.
This past April, RAW & UNIQ set up at the Crabtree Farms 26th Annual Spring Plant Sale & Festival — and it was exactly the kind of event our work belongs at. Surrounded by heirloom seedlings, native plants, and a community of people who genuinely care about what they bring into their homes and gardens, our handmade concrete pieces felt right at home.
The Setup
We brought a curated selection of our most popular pieces: planters in various forms, bowls, trays, and a few one-of-a-kind vessels that don't make it to the online shop. Everything hand-poured, hand-finished, and sealed in our studio — ready to hold a succulent, a trailing vine, or simply hold its own as an object on a shelf.
The table came together the way we like it: layered heights, natural textures, and enough breathing room between pieces that each one could be seen on its own terms.
Two Days of Real Conversations
What we love most about in-person markets isn't the sales — it's the conversations. People picking up a piece, feeling the weight of it, noticing the texture variation in the surface. That moment when someone realizes the color shift in a glaze wasn't printed on — it happened during the pour — is something that's hard to communicate through a product photo.
Over two days, we talked about process, about plant pairings, about the difference between a piece that's made and a piece that's manufactured. Those conversations are why we make what we make.
What We Brought
A mix of our signature forms were on the table, including:
- Ribbed flute planters in mist and mint colorways
- Boot-form planters with drainage
- Bateau basin bowls
- Tectonic and knit-textured vessels
- Bud vases and sculptural accent pieces
